Charlie put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the Blues in May 2023. Caton first arrived at Chester FC on loan from Shrewsbury Town in November 2022.

He would go on to spend the remainder of the campaign with the club, impressively contributing seven goals and seven assists in 26 league appearances.

Despite plenty of interest higher up the pyramid following his release from the Shrews, Charlie opted to make his stay with the Seals a permanent one.
