NEWS | Kev Roberts makes 600th career appearance!

Kevin Roberts made his 600th career appearance in last night’s draw with Gloucester City.

The 33-year-old is a Chester City Academy graduate, signing his first professional deal at the Deva Stadium back in January 2007.

Roberts made more than a century of appearances for the Blues before departing for Cambridge United in 2010.

During what has already been a hugely successful career, Kev played more than 100 times for both the U’s and then FC Halifax Town – earning promotions with those clubs in 2014 and 2017 respectively.

Kev returned to Chester FC in the summer of 2019 and has been a hugely reliable figure ever since in both defence and midfield.

On signing his latest deal under Manager Calum McIntyre, his responsibilities doubled as he took on the role of Physio for the 2022/23 campaign.

600 matches down, he still remains a crucial part of the team, now playing a pivotal role as a holding midfielder with 31 appearances under his belt so far this term.

We’re very proud to call you One of Our Own. Congratulations, Kev!
