Darren Stephenson has signed a new one-year deal at Chester FC!
The club has tied down the 29-year-old fan favourite to a new contract after a promising maiden season at the Deva Stadium.
‘Daz’ joined the club last summer and, particularly in the second half of the campaign, managed to establish himself as a key player as Calum McIntyre’s side head into the 2022/23 season.
The Jamaican contributed eight goals in 37 league appearances last term and has committed himself to the new training model as we move towards an exciting new era for the football club.
Darren had this to say after putting pen to paper: “I’m looking forward to another year here.
“I had a chat with the Manager and the plan he’s got so far was good – I want to be a part of that.
“The fans helped make my decision easier too. I want to come back and do my best for them and try and get us as far up the table as we can.”
Great to have you staying on board, Daz!
