Chester FC are delighted to announce the loan signing of Tranmere Rovers forward Charlie Jolley!
The 20-year-old striker joins us on an initial one month youth loan from the EFL League Two side.
From Liverpool, Charlie joined Wigan Athletic at the age of 13 and progressed through their academy setup. He made six senior appearances for the Latics, scoring twice, before making a permanent switch to Prenton Park in January this year.
Jolley scored twice on Wednesday in Tranmere’s 5-1 Cheshire Senior Cup victory over Northwich Victoria.
The striker will wear the number 28 shirt and is eligible for tomorrow’s game against Southport, subject to clearance.
Blues Joint Manager Anthony Johnson said: “Charlie is someone we’ve been aware of for quite a while and he was terrific against us a couple of years ago whilst on loan with Curzon Ashton.
“He scored twice as well in Tranmere’s game this week against Northwich so is coming here in form and ready to go.”
Welcome to Chester FC, Charlie!
