Chester FC are delighted to announce the signing of striker Jack Redshaw!
The forward joins the Blues from Ashton United on an initial three-month loan deal.
Redshaw, 30, joined the Robins in the summer after spending last season in the National League North with York City.
Jack is a familiar face to Joint Bosses Bern and Jonno, having scored 17 goals in the 2017/18 season at this same level, firing Salford City to the title in the process.
The attacker is a proven goalscorer and made over 100 appearances in the EFL for Morecambe earlier in his career. He has also featured for the likes of Blackpool and FC Halifax Town and is eligible for tomorrow’s home game against Blyth Spartans.
Chester’s Co-Managers were delighted to bring Jack to the Deva Stadium and, following the announcement, Jonno had this to say: “Jack is a really big coup for us.
“We wanted to bring in an experienced front man that has real football intelligence as opposed to someone raw and still learning.
“He finished as our top scorer at Salford the season we won the National League North and has had a really good career in the Football League with Morecambe and Blackpool. He’s a fantastic technical striker with really clever movement and a beautiful finisher.
“We’re really grateful to Michael Clegg at Ashton for allowing us to take him on loan for a few months.
“He’s a big player for them but he made it known he wanted to come to Chester and Cleggy allowed the move to happen.”
Redshaw will wear the number 26 shirt for the Blues.
Welcome to Chester FC, Jack!
