Chester Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of winger Jude Oyibo!
The 22-year-old featured for fellow National League North side Curzon Ashton during the 2020/21 season, making 13 appearances for the Nash.
Jude is our first new signing of the summer and has joined the Club after appearing – and impressing – at the First Team Talent ID Event which took place at the beginning of the month!
Oyibo’s career got underway at Stalybridge Celtic, before moving on to Glossop North End. He then played 49 times at Buxton, scoring eight goals, which saw him move up to the sixth tier with Alfreton Town.
A direct, pacy and skilful winger, Jude has also featured for Altrincham and Stockport Town.
Chester FC Joint Manager Anthony Johnson had this to say: “We said when we announced the trial weekend that if one player can go into our scouting database from it and allow us to keep an eye on him then the event would have been a success.
“What actually transpired is that we’ve signed a 22-year-old winger with experience in the National League North that will frighten defences to death with his electric pace and skill.
“He actually came on against us for Curzon when we beat them 2-1 and changed the whole dynamic of the game.
“Jude is someone we believe has huge potential and with the right coaching will continue to keep getting better.”
Our newest recruit will give his first interview to the Club on this Saturday’s Episode of The Seals Podcast!
Welcome to Chester FC, Jude!
