Chester Football Club are delighted to announce that Simon Grand has agreed terms to remain at the Club for the 2021/22 campaign!
Grand, who turned 37 earlier this year, has appeared over 100 times for the Club since his arrival in 2018.
The defender will have the opportunity to pass another fantastic milestone next season, as he rapidly approaches 600 career appearances.
‘Grandy’ will once again been linking up with fellow experienced centre-back Danny Livesey, who has also agreed to remain at the Blues for the upcoming campaign.
Simon made it a century of matches in the Blue and White back in January and has scored eight goals in his time at the club. Last term he made 22 appearances for the Seals.
Speaking on the news, Blues Joint Boss Anthony Johnson had this to say: “What can be said about Simon Grand that hasn’t already been said?
“The man is a scientific phenomenon – still putting in top displays game after game, week after week, season after season.
“He’s an unbelievable footballer that takes huge risks but understands the rewards that come from risk taking.
“A warrior with a wand of a left foot. We’re delighted to have him around the place going into his 60th year!”
Great to have you staying on board, Grandy!
