Chester Football Club are delighted to announce the extension of Jamie Morgan’s contract, keeping the defender with the Blues for the 2021/22 campaign.
The Blues have activated an option in the 23-year-old’s deal, meaning the exciting full-back will be staying at the Deva for the upcoming season.
Highly-rated Jamie arrived at CH1 from Nantwich Town exactly 24 months ago and has made 28 appearances across two curtailed seasons – putting in a string of impressive performances at both right-back and left-back.
Morgan has also chipped in with four goals, including a magnificent volley at Bradford (PA) in January, which proved to be our final strike of 2020/21.
The Blues management duo were delighted to retain Jamie, with Jonno saying: “As soon as we signed Jamie back in 2019, we knew we had a serious player on our hands.
“Fast forward two years and he’s become an even better player than we all expected!
“He’s tenacious, quick, fit, strong, tackles, assists and scores goals. I could be writing about Cafu as a goalscoring full-back but, without exaggeration, he offers all of the above.
“We’re delighted to be working with him for another season.”
Great to have you staying on board, Jamie!
