The highest voted player in the Team of the Decade, Antoni Sarcevic comfortably gets into your midfield.
What a player he was for us too – originally joining the club from Crewe Alexandra on loan back in 2010 – the Alex had signed him from Woodley Sports in the months prior.
Sarcevic impressed during his temporary spell at the Deva and was swiftly recalled by the EFL side, making a scoring return on his Football League debut for Crewe.
The club managed to secure the permanent signing of Antoni later on in 2011, and he flourished from there. Starring in two successive promotions, Sarcevic scored plenty of goals from midfield.
They weren’t taps ins either. Remember when he took on the entire Colwyn Bay team and scored? That stunner at Bishop Stortford? We could be here for hours.
He departed the club after making 80 appearances and bagging 22 goals. Fleetwood Town paid a hefty sum for his services and no one is surprised that he continues to star in the EFL to this day.
An excellent and popular midfielder, Antoni Sarcevic is in your Chester FC Team of the Decade.
