Chester Football Club are pleased to confirm that defender Danny Livesey will join the Blues on a permanent deal from Salford City on July 1st.
The experienced centre-back spent the entire 2018-19 campaign at the Deva on loan from the Ammies; and has now made his stay a permanent one for the new National League North season.
Livesey made 38 appearances in all competitions last term, and scored four goals. He scored three goals in his last six appearances of the season – including a dramatic brace at Nuneaton in a 3-2 victory.
A hugely intelligent, pacy and strong defender – the 34-year-old links up with Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley once again in the hybrid model for 2019-2020.
Speaking to Chester FC TV, Livesey said: “It was a very easy decision to stay.
“We were building last season, it was a transition. We knew we let ourselves down in a few games but overall, when you consider everything that happened, you could see something building so this was an easy decision.”
A full interview will be uploaded to our YouTube channel later today.
Welcome (back) to Chester FC, Danny!
