MATCH PREVIEW | Boston United vs Chester

An unbeaten September so far, the Blues face perhaps their toughest test of the month with a trip to a side who sit in the Play-Offs – Boston United.

A 0-0 draw on Tuesday was somewhat disappointing against bottom three side FC United, but the Blues have the chance to pick themselves up quickly and continue to gain momentum.

But Boston have firepower in abundance and will be looking to build on a 2-0 win away at Stockport County last weekend. However, goals is their issue at the minute with just 10 in the first nine games. Chester on the other hand have scored 11 in their first six matches. Nevertheless, with names such as Nathan Arnold, Jonny Margetts and Adam Marriott to call on – they shouldn’t be too far away.

The Chester squad is slowly getting back to fitness, with Gary Roberts back from suspension last Tuesday and Danny Livesey and John Pritchard in the squad for the last two after missing previous games.

Familiar names to Chester FC supporters will be in the defensive line up for Boston. Jordan Gough was one of Marcus Bignot’s first signings at the Swansway last season – and back to the Chester City days – Ben Davies is another player with The Pilgrims.
