James joined the Blues in 2015 following his release from Championship side Ipswich Town.

The 21 year old striker has proved himself quickly with Chester FC, scoring what turned out to be the club's Goal of the Season against Kidderminster Harriers, as voted by the fans of the club.

Alabi then scored 4 goals in the first half of the 8-2 demolition of Aldershot Town, where the Blues led 6-1 at half time!

James started off his career at Stoke City as an 18 year old, and was sent out on loan to various clubs including Scunthorpe United, Mansfield Town, Forest Green Rovers, and Accrington Stanley before Ipswich Town snapped up the striker in August 2015. Alabi even scored on his Ipswich debut in a 4-1 win over Doncaster in the League Cup.

A brief spell followed at Grimsby Town on loan before he then eventually made the move to Chester where he has scored 7 times so far, his biggest haul at any one club since he started off at Stoke.
