Oluwaseun Ewerogba Akintunde signed for The Blues following a successful trial in pre-season 2016 where he netted a hat trick at Marine in a pre-season friendly. “James” as he’s more affectionately known, started off his youth career at Cambridge United, where he made his debut in an FA Trophy match at Salisbury City as a substitute in 2013. He then went out on loan to AFC Sudbury, where he featured 24 times scoring twice, and then on loan to Histon where he played a further 11 times, scoring three goals in the process. James then proved a hit in the pre-season friendly with the Blues and Jon McCarthy quickly bolstered his front line with the signing of the Greenwich-born striker. James scored three goals in just six starts last season – in a campaign that was hindered due to injury.
