Welcome to Chester FC, Owen Windsor!

Chester FC are pleased to announce the signing of forward Owen Windsor from Chippenham Town, subject to National League approval.

The 22-year-old left-footed forward has contributed three goals and two assists in just five starts for the National League South side so far this campaign.

The Blues submitted a seven-day approach to the Bluebirds last week for Owen; who had spells in youth football at Swindon Town and Southampton, before moving on to Cirencester Town – where he was eventually snapped up by West Bromwich Albion in 2019.

Windsor had EFL loan spells at Grimsby Town, Newport County and Carlisle United – before joining the Bluebirds permanently in February 2023.

He will wear the number 14 shirt for the Blues and is in contention for tomorrow’s game at South Shields.

Manager Calum McIntyre said: “Owen has scored goals at our level this season and is an important addition at a crucial time.

“We are stretched in terms of forward players and to be able to add a player who has been scoring goals is a huge boost for us.

“We recognise the need to add bodies to the group during this immensely hectic run of fixtures and I am really pleased to have been able to add Owen to the group ahead of the weekend.”
