A MAJOR partner of Chester FC has extended their sponsorship deal with the club ahead of the start of the new season.BiG Storage’s
sponsorship and support of Chester FC started three years ago when they donated BiG Deva, the rhino, to the club just after it had been reformed. This has been followed with three back to back years of sponsorship and award winning Chester and Cheshire based business, BiG Storage, have just signed on the dotted line to extend their sponsorship with Chester FC for a fourth consecutive year.
The deal will include advertising within all of Chester FCs options – ground, programme, website and social media along with corporate hospitality which will include exciting competitions for supporters to win tickets to watch Blues games in style, courtesy of BiG Storage.
Club mascot BiG Lupus – as his name suggests – forms a major part of the package as does the sponsorship of fixture cards to be distributed throughout the town and half time draw tickets.
Dave Riche of Chester FC said: “We are delighted to have extended the deal and this season we are going to maximise every opportunity we can. “Andrew Donaldson is very forward thinking and we share a number of the same ideas as to how far we can take this partnership.
“Sponsorship is not just about sitting back and resting on your laurels, it is about expanding the brand into every opportunity possible and BiG Storage will give us further doors to open up.”
Andrew Donaldson, partner of BiG Storage
said: “We’re proud to be one of the founding supporting sponsors of Chester FC and renewing and developing our deal for a fourth season was a no-brainer!”
The deal will also see the City's ambitious football team form a close relationship with The Cheshire Phoenix (Community Interest Company) professional basketball team (formally The Jets) of which BiG Storage were rescuing partners last season, and Mr Donaldson is the chairman of.
Chester FC’s Dave Riche added: “We are keen to spread the word about the club within the community and we see lots of cross promotional activities between the two codes this season and hopefully in future years. “BiG Lupus will be at the basketball and the football and we are looking into cheerleaders also being shared within the two clubs.
“Chester FC are focussing on expanding our junior fan base – something that is also key to the Phoenix basketball setup and we believe the two clubs can work hand in hand within the community.”
Supporters will be able to get their hands on part of the sponsorship deal by picking up a fixture card from the turnstiles at Tuesday night’s friendly v Mansfield Town.
