Chester went down 3-0 to Liam McDonald's Solihull Moors side in the National League, with goals from Osborne, Daly and White sealing the points for the visitors.
It started as a rather cagey affair at the Lookers Vauxhall – and the visitors broke the deadlock fifteen minutes in.
Moors captain Liam Daly saw his effort ricochet off the post, before Jamey Osbourne pounced on the ball to score on his return to the side following suspension.
Chester struggled to make headway in the first half, with chances limited as Solihull continued to apply pressure to the Blues backline.
Liam McDonald’s side had one win in their last five games – which came against the Blues on Boxing Day, and began to stamp their authority on the game as the first half ended. First Omari Sterling-James had a tame effort tipped around the post by Alex Lynch, then goal scorer Jamey Osborne failed to keep his shot down, blazing an effort over the crossbar.
Moments before the break, and the Blues started to make a name for themselves. Evan Horwood saw his 20-yard free kick clatter onto the post, before Alabi’s header was easily collected by Moors keeper Danny Lewis.
Sensing a chance to extend their lead, the Moors doubled their advantage through club stalwart Liam Daly.
Solihull’s captain had only scored six goals for his side prior to the encounter – but the centre half looked convincing in attack, smashing home from within the area unchallenged.
Luke George was adjudged to have handled a shot in the penalty area, and referee Peter Wright awarded the spot kick to Solihull.
The Moors striker had scored against the Blues for all three National League clubs he has played for, and duly doubled his account for Solihull against Chester, with his penalty hitting the crossbar before hitting the back of the net.
An afternoon to forget for the Blues, who failed to score for the first time since the 0-0 draw with Macclesfield back in October.
