FC Halifax Town 0 Chester FC 2

Chester FC ended the year with a fine 2-0 away win at FC Halifax Town at The Shay thanks to goals from Matty Brown and Tom Peers.

The Blues,going into the game on the back of a disappointing run put their Boxing Day blues behind them and got off to a great start on 7 minutes when captain Matty Brown headed Chester in front after great work from new signing Kane Richards.

The game was settled when Tom Peers netted his first for the senior team late on which earned Chester the points which leaves them just 7 points off the Play Offs and 13 points away from the drop zone going into the New Year.
