Chester win the Blue Square North Title

In a quiet first half The Blues slowly began to turn up the pressure with Lewis Turner's ball in just getting away from Nathan Jarman.

Antoni Sarcevic nearly broke the dead lock as he raced on to Matty McGinn's through ball, he was able to lift it past Dan Haystead but Boston were able to get defenders back and clear it off the line.

The vistors best chance of the half fell to Greg Mills as he won the ball on the edge of the Chester area, his left footed shot was pushed away well by John Danby.

After a subdued first half it took Chester just one minute to take the lead in the second as Lewis Turner scored his first, and Chester's one hundredth goal of the season to send The Blues faithful into raptures.

Nathan Jarman broke down the left, before turning back on to his right foot and crossing for Turner to head home from close range.

After providing the assist for the first Jarman nearly got his name on the scoresheet, a ball over the top saw Jarman flick it past Nathan Stainfield before shooting and forcing a routine save from Dan Haystead.

It was Jarman again, with the bit between his teeth, that went close for The Blues as he dummied a cross then got on the end of Marc Williams clever flick, Dan Haystead out quickly to thwart the Chester striker.

The Blues continued to press and Matty McGinn forced Haystead into another good save before George Horan rose well to a right footed cross from Matty McGinn only to head off target.

Boston were still causing problems of their own and two superb ballsi nto the penalty area caused Chester problems, the second, from substitute Ben Fairclough splitting Danby and the defence expertly.

Antoni Sarcevic broke free of the last man his shot with the outside of his right boot was saved by Haystead.

Haystead was again The Pilgrims saviour as he produced a stunning save from a Chester corner, that deflected off Marc Williams, diving away to his right, the follow up effort by George Horan was blocked by Nathan Stainfield.

The Boston 'keepers second half heroics weren't enough to prevent Chester from being crowded Blue Square Bet North Champions.
