Chester FC showed no post-Christmas struggles as they brushed aside a struggling Droylsden side. The hosts got the lead in the second minute from a Wes Baynes free kick and never looked back as goals from Antoni Sarcevic, Marc Williams, Ben Mills and Craig Curran saw Chester extend their run of victories to ten.
Chester got off to the perfect start as Ben Mills was hauled down, resulting in Ashley Palmer receiving a yellow card, from the free kick Wes Baynes curled the ball around the wall and into the top corner, leaving Dale Latham stranded.
Droylsden nearly replied instantly however as Antonio Bryan found some space and was able to turn and shoot just wide of Danby's post.
Chances continued to come as some nice play from Ben Mills lead to the striker finding Antoni Sarcevic, he shot fromt he edge of the area but it was just wide of the post.
Chester took the lead, and it was another free kick that caused the damage. Wes Baynes rolling the ball across the penalty area for Antoni Sarcevic to continue his run fantastic goalscoring form with a rocket of a strike from twenty five yards.
Droylsden almost manufactured a chance out of nothing to get back in the game as Stephen Hall unleashed a fierce strike from twenty two yards that came cannoning back off the crossbar, with the Chester fans applauding the wonderful effort.
With the action flowing from end to end, and some beautiful football being played. Chester got their third with some incredible play. Antoni Sarcevic showing great vision to find Marc Williams who controlled the ball well before lifting over the oncoming 'keeper into the back of the net to give The Blues a comfortable lead at the break.
The second half was a lot quieter in terms of chances, Droylsden striker Antonio Bryan had a free header but could only fire a tame effort at Danby.
Despite the limited chances Chester were able to increase their lead as Wes Baynes broke free, his cross was deflected into Dale Latham's path and Ben Mills was on hand to head home his twelfth league goal of the season.
Chester were running riot now as substitute Nathan Jarman, on for Ben Mills after his goal, ran into space before rolling the ball to Craig Curran who shot to Dale Latham's right hand side, the 'keeper only able to get a hand to it.
The lead could have been increased further as Danny Williams got on the end of a through ball but could only poke the ball wide.
