Chester 1 Gateshead 2

Chester lost for the third successive game in front of the BT cameras - as Gateshead won from behind at the Lookers Vauxhall Stadium.

Blaine Hudson smashed home in the 31st minute - before Danny Johnson responded with a superb solo effort five minutes later.

Jordan Burrow fired home the winner just after the hour mark.

The Blues started the brighter - with Durrell having an effort blocked before Tom Shaw shot wide after a superb driving run forward.

Shaw and Durrell were in the thick of it again minutes later - as the latter released the Blues number eight, but the keeper denied him one-on-one.

The pressure paid off just beyond the half hour mark - as Hudson smashed home from a Horwood corner; which had caused havoc.

Nevertheless, the visitors were level five minutes later as Johnson superbly drove forward, cut inside of Astles and stabbed it home from just inside the box.

The Heed looked confident, and took the lead just past the hour mark when Burrow had time and space to smash the ball home.

The Blues couldn't muster up a response - and fell to a defeat in the lunchtime kick off.
