Chester FC can confirm that defender Ryan Astles has departed the club to join fellow National League North side Southport.
Astles joined the club in early 2016 and has been a fans favourite at the Swansway Chester Stadium – making 113 appearances and scoring seven goals.
Following the departure of John McCombe to Harrogate, Ryan was given the Captain’s armband by then Manager Marcus Bignot.
Everyone at Chester FC would like to thank Ryan for his time and effort whilst with the club – and wish him the very best in the future.
